Very nice bending work (especially without a bender). I will be keeping my eye on this build.

Thanks Attila. I was frustrated with filing because I had been at if for 3 hours already and it was 43C in the shed. I was nervous at first cos I just sharpened the plane, but it was magic! Very easy to plane and it was a hell of a lot faster too. My plane is just as sharp seems. Still turned wood into paper after ;)

Oh and Attila, Great website so far!! Cant wait until you have the guides part up ;) I noticed an alloy and Jarra, (by the looks of it), floor lamp. Did you make that too? I have been designing some furniture and accessories like that and its good to see Australian timbers being used so well. I'm a wood nut!

Wow how did I miss this in the beginning?! A really enjoyable read so far with some fantastic concepts. I have to dredge up on older posts and compliment you on how awesome that guitar looks!

    Keep it up Navidson :D

Haha come to Australia and either get roasted, "locusted" or flooded. I had to help the town I'm in sandbag all the shops, houses, ect... One of the Cons in being in the Military :(

Thanks! yea that guitar is my baby! Soon this build will be too. I'll post them together once its done :) Keep watching for some guest appearances of the guitar as I work on both.

Yea I cant wait for the end result myself. I'm sort of making up the internals as I go. Its pretty exciting. Hope it goes well... lol

    ...if not :dremel:

Just a little mock up on the internals. I'm still working out the dividers so everything is in its own compartment.

A small list of what the internals have to be:

    Sectioned off
    Neat
    No cables showing
Good to look at through the window
    Easy to pull apart
easy to work on outside the case
All power, sata, lighting, fan cables to be permanently integrated into the case so the PSU can be swapped out without disturbing the rest of the gear...

So today whilst I'm doing stuff that takes forever I have posted some pics of my workshop (its a mess I just moved house), as you will see nothing impressive in there.

Just random bits and bobs for you too look at whilst I work on the Element...

Well I'm a big fan of your guitars mate (ultra nice) & from the look of your pc case I'm already a fan :thumb::clap:.

And getting back to the gas type for aluminium welding I know propane wasn't hot enough, so I think it's map/pro gas as it's the hottest commercially available, the propane would take ages to get it anywhere near the required heat & just didn't do the job & the sample my dad seen turned to liquid after a few seconds & just needed working to the piece with a screwdriver & made a solid joint :cooldude:. Now I know the gas type to get I might get some myself to try it out again :thumb:.

thanks Waynio! yea findout that if it works well and I'll have to do the same :)

I'm going to try 1 more propane shot on this before switching gas.
