Hey this is really great stuff! What do you paint with? Is it possible to achieve a perfect finish with a spray can? I don't have a compressor. I did a CPU duct in fibreglass a while ago but I wasn't that happy with paint, maybe just because it was the first time I had used a spray can and I probably didn't have a smooth enough finish.

I'm just starting to brew a 100% fibreglass PC case in my head :D

Thanks for sharing your experience / ideas and all the great pics.

Oh it makes me with I had the skills, the balls and the ventilated area to jump into the amazing world of fiberglass :D Looking good! I'm just always worried about low airflow setups...

I do use spray cans, however the surface does have to be perfectly smooth as any tiny little imperfection is very clearly visible once the paint has been sprayed on. You just have to use very fine wet and dry to obtain an absolutely perfect finish before you spray paint.

I've recently redone the surface finish on the case. It is now much more professional looking, with a almost no imperfections. I'm also improving the heatsink as the pipe becomes alot hotter than the actual heatsink so I'm trying to increase the surface area from pipe to heatsink. I will upload some pictures taken by professional photographer in the next few weeks.

Hi everyone sorry this update took so long heres the pictures you requested a while back:

I've managed to considerably improve the heatsink by changing the layout of the pipes running onlong it:

First I removed the old pipes:

I then used an angle grinder to cut a channel through each end of the heatsink for some new pipes to fit into:

Solder was then layed onto the pipe and heated for a long time with a blow torch to melt it onto the heat sink:

I then soldered on some 15mm to 10mm pipe reducers as with the previous design:

Once the heatsink was sorted I used some aluminium panels to improve the appearance of the inside of the case:

Heres some before improvement pics so you can compare:

and heres the pics after the improvements:

I'm also going to make a perspex side panel, however I'm not sure how to cut a perfect straight line though a sheet of perspex that big. Some stress testing temperature will be posted later today.

The radiator upgrades look good. However you could still do a better job on the cable management, you could easily hide those SATA data cables under the motherboard.

Very nice build but i think the cable management needs to be improved.

Meh. Cable management isn't *really* necessary considering it's primarily cosmetic and that case is closed up.

I could put the sata cables behind the motherboard, not sure what else I can do with the power cables though. Do you just mean use cable sleeves like on the 24 pin motherboard connector?

I'm going to make a perspex side panel for the case so you will be able to see inside it.

After many hours of gaming and 3D mark vantage the hottest temp when on vantage was 50 C
and around 42 C while gaming, however when idle its only 33 C! which I thought was quite impressive seems as the idle temp on the previous heatsink was around 44C.

Yeah cable sleeving would be good, or some split loom.

The cable management looks better but there still is a little bit of work you could do.

Yeah, it could use a bit more work, but given the space constraints, I think you've done a fine job :thumb:

Well, i think its an improvement. But you can do better. Run some cables under the motherboard. Put the PSU cables also not OVER the motherbord, but along it or under it.
