LoL thats something I here all the time! Neither do I know how is going to look like at the end
as the original designs was only the 30 per cent and 70 per cent improvisation! I did it that way cause I enjoy modding more!

Aww I want repz for support. See if you can add some extra plastic to the sides of those slot protectors, I'll be a delicate job though.

 

Have some too I will try to find a solution even though it seems I cant find a fully professional one so I might stay with the plain protectors.

Time for one more update my friends!
I had to paint each component on the motherboard that didnt fit right, so the two
components were the GPU and the Corsair airflow.
First I disassembled the airflow for the ram and got that ready for painting.







Secondly I created a simple top for the GTX 295, using 1 mm clear acrylic.







I also cut an old HDD cage from Lian Li to create a smaller one for this mod.



I made a simple design on the GPU top so it will be left clear so you can see the pcb underneath.





Airflow painted and assembled.





Top finished too!



A test fit to see how it looks. As you might noticed I reversed the colors on that painting technique to give a different touch on the overall look.

My only question would be: Will the fans still be in balance? Great works but I had to ask.

Nice question John. The answer is yes due to their compact size/milligrams amount of paint placement ratio. The paint is almost equally applied to all the wings but if there is a difference in weight is so minimal that you will need high level equipment to measure the balance!
