Glad you like it..I will be "back-at-it" tomorrow and if all goes well, I will update late Saturday or Sunday.. Until then..
Custom Paint II More of the same: color sanding (aka: wet-sand with 2000grit paper). Clean with prepslov (degreaser).. ready.. More "fogging" on the top panel: Finished: The "dead-side" panel will get one large jawless skull and skulls in each corner as well as more fog... I had to measure (this time) to get the bigSkull centered, then a chalk outline. More pearl green/lime green..Shoot the bigSkull's backround color and start the fog around the edge of the panel..Pearl paint is "heavy" and needs to be shot in light coats..You can use a heatgun to speed drying-time. Map-out the four "corner-skulls" with chalk and shoot more fog. I hope these pictures and narrative explain just how much work is involved in painting... That's IT...Time for a beer (well, multiple beers).. I hope to get the five skulls on the case Sunday night.. Until then..
Custom paint III Thanks for the feed-back guys. More Paint... I shot more pearl/lime green in the four corners. It will be the backround color for more skulls. Then I "ruffed-in" the four corner skulls and the bigskull in the center and proceeded to soften the edges of each skull with jet-black so they fade into the case's black backround. It still needs more "work". The fogging needs cleaning up and the corner skulls need more attention as well, but I just ran out of time. More Pictures: Well, thats it for this week..I hope to be back to work on this panel next weekend Until then..
Very pleased with the outlook of this tricked out paint job!!!! should complement the green uv lighting very well, so impressed with your great talent, keep up the good work..............
Thanks guys..I am making progress, but there is a lot of work to do. Finish the side panel, start work on the face plate and then everything needs 3-coats of clear (then buff and wax)...I need to finish the paint before moving forward with the rest of the build..
Good god that color scheme is absolutey beautiful. Oh yea, and the skulls are pretty coo, I suppose. =P
