    Question about the PSU

This case came out nice. I really like the lighting.

Does the PSU come with one or two 6-pin connectors? I read a review about that psu and it was impressive. If I am not mistaken it only has one 6-pin connector. :waah:

Great job so far. :thumb: Sorry if you mentioned it before, but where did you get that Power Supply from. It would be perfect for my current project.

Thought you might be interested to know that A.C. Ryan is coming out with knock-off AC and Watercool style grills in stainless and black anodized aluminum. Spoke with Performance PCS today and they said they expect them in the country next week sometime. :D

Thanks, TN..I just noticed the new project log format..Not a bad idea..It will make new logs much EZ'er to follow..I guess I just keep working/posting from this location..?
I hope to get some work done on the side panel window this weekend..
    Until then:

    Fans & Flow meters

    The infamous Aqua-Computer flow meter:
Anyone acquainted with AC will tell you this is a very restrictive flow meter. This picture proves the point:
The answer is EZ. Drill out the inlet and outlet of the meter. Let's open it up:

Remove the impellor and your ready to go:

    My tools of choice:

    and finished:
    Lets paint:
I used a pearl black, then a lite coat of translucent apple green. Under most conditions the unit will look black, but with the correct lighting it has a green-cast..

NEXT UP: Fans. The SilverStone case is on the small side and will get crowded when all is said and done, so I will be using a 120mm exhaust fan.
One of my favorite fans is the EverCool..
Great looks and good performance, well the body of there fan's look great..
The white plastic supports and "fake chrome" blade are another story.
Same deal as the AC flow meter.
Pearl black paint with a lite coat of that apple green.
For the 120mm fan on the radiator, I am thinking about using the ACRyan Blackfire4
    [IMG]
    the spec's seem good
Noise 29db and 78CFM airflow (all but matches the EverCool's specs)..
The acrylic body matches the sheet-acrylic I am using on the project and the fan also has (4) UV LEDS which would work out well..Furthermore, it was free from ACRyan (from there contest)..we will see..
Lets look at the EverCool with it's fan guard:

That's it for this week: Until next time :thumb:
