Hey guys thanks for the comments.

    I used non-fray sleeving from Cable Organizer.com, in size 1/8", and 3:1 1/4" heatshrink.

Murdermod sleeving is very close to this, it's slightly less than 1/8" so it fits the individual wires just a tad better than mine, but it's close enough.

The non-fray is better than tech flex in two ways: (1) it doesnt fray :duh: so it makes it easier getting it over cable ends and (2) it is a lot denser material so you can't see through it. If you look closely at the picture I took, you can see right in the center there is a 12" 4-pin ATX extension that is sleeved with tech flex (look for the white plug right in the middle of the pic).

It turns out that I needed a longer extension as the initial one I bought was not long enough. So I took the easy way out and daisy chained them, rather then resoldering. It will be mounted under the motherboard tray in a wire channel and never seen, so whatever... :D

    Holy crap.

Got a call from the powder coater... I'm thinking "oh ****, something's wrong".

The guy says "hey, your parts are done. You want to pick them up today?":jawdrop:

So much for one week... try one day! Apparently the powder arrived this morning and he got them done today.

Good thing I was at lunch when he called... ran right over and picked them up.

All I can say is hotttttttttt........ it came out nice!:thumb:

I will post some pics soon... probably next week I will be planning a "day in the shop" and will put the whole thing together, documenting every step of the way!!!111111one

OK, as promised, I've got some pics of the parts back from powder... still haven't shot them all yet.

Let's start with the black pieces:

    Hard drive rack:

    Fan modules:

Fan grills (they may not look much different than stock, but they are powder coated to match everything else):

    PCI covers:

From left to right: sound card, blanks, single slot for GTX280, and Areca 1210 RAID card.

I got a few extra done in the event I switch configurations and don't use the same sound card or RAID card.

    PSU mounting plate:

    Light switch plate:

Some trim pieces (edge and around the L):

    Mounting kit for the Velociraptor:

Now, the astute out there will notice that there are many pieces not shown, and I've made no reference to their color.

    I leave you with this...

    Case feet:

I'll post some more soon :D

    Cheers :thumb:

    The feet looks good!
I'm not a big fan of the red tint, but, hey, this color is amazing used to "accent" some little pieces!
    Wonderful!

Fantastic, powder coats never disappoint! And now you've got me on the edge of my chair, waiting for the pictures of the mystery colored pieces.

Went home at lunch today to do some more reassembly. Not a ton of "picture-worthy" activity, but I got a couple of more pics for you.

@ Mino:LOL, if you don't like the red tint you might want to stop reading. There's a lot more to go.

Here's one of the three fan modules assembled. Two will go above the motherboard tray (one on either side) and one will go below, opposite the hard drive rack.

Here's some more shots that should give away more of the bigger picture:

A shot of the PSU grill installed in the bottom of the case:

I'm not trying to be elusive or build up anticipation, it's just been slow going and the pictures I *HAVE* taken have turned out to be complete ****. Either the colors look totally off, or there's too much shine and reflection. I need to photograph this right, and just haven't gotten the time to get my camera settings squared away.

    More to come (maybe tomorrow)...

    Cheers :thumb:

As prevoius said, I'm not a fan of the red tint, but it's interesting to see this point of colour.
It's strange, for me the "red" is like Ferrari red (I'm italian, lol) , and I hate it...
But this "black red" is really awesome!

Cool. Red and black, the red looks to be a "blood-red" maroon (burgundy)..
Those case feet are great. MNPCTech
correct? I have a set bolted to my latest project. Billet aluminum and as perfect as can be..
Powder coating has come a long way in the last few years. It once was only primary colors, today the possibility's are endless.
    More pictures ASAP.

Brilliant work so far mate, I really like your attention to neatness and detail, also the excecution of your thoughts. The colours look great together too.
