Case Mod - In Progress Project: Starcraft II

Hell, it’s about time someone made a Starcraft II case mod.
This will be my first mod so any help is appreciated. It may go a little slow as I will be moving soon. Well here’s the case in it's orginal state :

I won't be releasing any plans to keep the mod a mystery till the end I will release regular worklog pics so you can keep guessing lol and any suggestions are welcome. Well here goes my attempt at modding arguably one of the best games ever...
(Note: the first 8 pics were taken by my old crappy camera, the rest are taken with my phone)

Started sanding the right side panel


Took apart the front and sanded down the plastic for later painting.


The left side (where the window usually is). This is original condition.

Took apart all the drive bays, to spraypaint it sometime.

Oh damn it i just realized my phones camera was set to "Document" thats why the close shots are so clear and the far ones are a little blurry... Oh well, it will be clearer on the next post.

Looks like you have a good start, I loved playing Starcraft when I was in college when it first came out. I look forward to seeing this project unfold.

i'll say this- the original case looks very "terran". reminds me of the barracks.

 

I always thought this case looked like a p.o.s, but it actually looks quite nice in your photos.

 

Yeah I always thought this case was just a knock off plastic case that would break if I flicked it 0.o guess not.

lol exactly what i thought! I was going to do a barrack but it would be way too big.. wouldn't even fit through the door to take to lan parties or in my car (Camry).

LOL this case is SECC steel man... aluminum sides, plastic bezel and SECC steel frame body.
