    :D Cheers :).

I got the wire side clamp re-finished with needed holes, stripped the lacquer off re-brushed & re-lacquered .

Just tested the quality of the cage fit with clamp bars while having it fully loaded & they all stayed in place nicely, very solid :D. Now I'm going to do hopefully the last of the cable work, couple of molex wires & a mini 24 pin extension that doesn't effect air flow, should be an easy little job though as it's a normal extension to make & don't have to remove pins, just plug them in :D & sleeve the sata data cables, still need to mod the copper cable clips I made & add a few more cable clip mounting holes but I'll do that later.

Nice fan holders Waynio, you've done a great job on all the sanding and polishing, and they look great with the HDD's :thumb:

Thats looking well sweet mate. I really like the fan holders. Don't be to surprised if you see something very similar appear on one of my mods some time in the future.
What I have noticed with this build lately is that it seems to be evolving, with bits being changed, but I have to say, only for the better. Thats not to say there was ever anything wrong with the original parts.Top modding Wayne..+rep

Thanks mate I won't be able to get the lighting on the holders precisely how I'd have liked to but they are ok, it's because of holding it up the broad daylight that spoilt what I was expecting , the only way I think I could get a similar effect is if I bought some light tape & stuck it to the outside rim of the fans inside the holders or cut a chunk out of the bottom of the stick bar pieces & replaced with a block of frosted opal acrylic with a strong LED inside to create a little light block, I should try that out.

:D Thanks Jeff, you are welcome to mate :) same with any of the other ideas I'm all for modding to evolve just as long as it isn't a company taking ideas & getting patents on them to try stopping people from doing it :D.

    :) Thanks Solid.

:D Thanks John :thumb: just getting the lighting right that's holding things up a bit now & I'm waiting for a delivery for molex pins that really slowed the progress down.

    :D Cheers mate.

I have made a few bits of progress though, I sorted the cable side of the clamp bar so it has wire pass through holes/slots, made a mini 24 pin extension which won't be sleeved so it can tightly wrap around to the rear of the mobo tray & theres some other bits that aren't coming to mind right now :D also the RGB light strips I found when I placed them on the curve bars the one behind the mobo tray boosted a sweet glow through the mobo tray holes so I could picture that being useful for creating a glow around the motherboard, the RGB control box though didn't fit underneath the hdd cage so had to find another location & placing it in the corner of the psu underneath the cables seems a good place to have it as it's quite well hidden & a good place for the cables to reach it easily.

I want to do a proper update but it's mostly fine tuning so I'm waiting until there is signifficant progress to show :D.

This is my personal favorite mod of all time. There are thousands of mods out there at lots of different sites and this one just draws me in all the time. It's art, it's a computer, and it's amazing.

I want it finished but at the same time I don't want it finished because I love seeing the progress.

    Keep up the great work.

Compliment of the highest kind :D thank you BOBDBONE :).

It's killing me at the moment, it's lying on it's side without it's base while I figure out what to do about lighting the stick bars.

But I had a close look at the led strips inside the enermax apollish fans & they are ultra thin & unlike any available led strips, I'd say including the led & pcb they are no more than 1mm thick (probably less) & can't seem to find led strips like them anywhere, my new idea is to try & get some of these & then I could wrap them around the outside rim of the fans & wire them to the fans which would do the lighting perfect & keep cables minimal, if anyone knows where to buy these strips it would really help this project move along :D I don't really want to give up on getting the lighting perfect for the fan holders but I will if I can't find a good solution :wallbash::lol:.

I had a good look at the led strips on the apollish fans & they look really thin like around 1mm so was going mad trying to find where I'd get them to add around the exterior so I could join the connector to the fans, Tealc on OCUK was very very helpful about the led strips & I now have the solution for lighting these holders perfectly, after thinking about the fact I'll probably have to file a bit out of the middle of the holders to make space for the strips I thought why the heck not go for the brighter ones :D, another thing I held the RGB strip underneath the holders & I'd say the orange acyrlic is highly UV reactive so I ordered UV ones :D so with all this figured out now I've got the bottom of the case bolted back on as I won't need to mod the hdd platform, phew :D, so can work on other things now while waiting, also if the light is too bright I could slip some laminating sheet inside to diffuse it a bit :).

Been waiting for a delivery from watercoolinguk since last Friday they have made it on the craplist of shops to avoid with me now, they are slack at getting orders done & even at answering messages so not been able to do anything, they don't offer better delivery options neither, should have gone elsewhere was £4.40 postage & it would be a very light package, I order big packs of bolts on ebay & postage is free & nearly always delivered the next day, I'm tempted to get onto paypal & demand a refund, good pc shops & modding shops don't do business this badly.

Had deliveries from Hong Kong, America & Germany way faster than this, frustrating to wait when chomping at the bit to finish the case & needing to keep busy to keep my mind off things like riots, when I keep busy I can carry on without stuff like that bothering me too much as long as the trouble isn't right on my doorstep.

Refund and buy your stuff elsewhere:) Heard a couple of bad things about that site so far.

    bummer.

I remember the frustating waits sometimes for online orders when I was building my case. Nothing you can do (except complain and ask for refund once you're really tired of waiting :D )

Took the money when I ordered, they sent me a dispatched update email with tracking code which looks like the diy packets type & not sent from a post office but they aren't even replying to messages to at least put me at ease, very amateur company & I've let them know it, going mad with being so close to having this finished but can't .

I figured with them apparently being based in Manchester they'd be ultra speedy but Hong Kong beats them by far :hehe:.

:hehe: I've even started exercising again to pass the time  it was just a few days ago when they say they posted so I'm unsure if I can go asking for a refund yet as it could show up tomorrow or Monday or Tuesday but I'm doubtful.

 No just doing it to make me feel a bit better, excess energy building up can be bad to have if you have nothing to put it into :D, aching a bit though as I haven't done any since before starting this case so before December last year :hehe:.

Come to think of things to do I still haven't done the optical tray & eject button that might keep me busy for some hours but then it's another long weekend if the bits don't come tomorrow so if they don't I'll finish off alice madness returns & see how fun portal 2 is, still not even had a quick go on it yet :D.

Only problem with light tape is it doesn't shine with full power for very long.
