    Sniff :(

Yesterday somethink fell off my desk onto the sidepanel and put a huge 10cm gash in it. luckly its right in the section that will be removed for a window i just got to decide what sort of window to put in.

now iv seen you guys do it before so heres one

save the 2 images below and paste them over the top and come up with some designs. cause im stupped at the moment as to what to do.

The only one i did come up wiht yesterday was this

(imaging the photo was straight :p) big plexi window with standoffs on the outside of the panel. there is no room inside the panel for a window.

I would make a bigger window but the one in the picture seems pretty much ok.

whats your definition of modding then?

so, getting 2 rads, 2 res's and 8 harddrives in a rig, while keeping it looking clean, isnt modding to you?

mixing high spec gaming gear and server applications, isnt modding to you, well then this aint a mod, but if you consider the above modding, then this is an exceptional mod.

i think the window will look really good like that.

    A few ideas for you:

^ Two windows, one large one showing the Motherboard area, one smaller one showing the drive cage(s).

^ A cross. I didn't intend it to look religious, it was only when I uploaded it that I realised what it looks like. Still, a symmetrical cross maybe?

^ A sorta-modern art kinda look. 3 different sizes of rectangles...

^ And a slant. I tried several angles, but this shows the most.

They're probably all crap, but I'm liking this project and interested to see what you do with a huge side-panel like that.

I think something like this would be better.. The HD rails n that ruin the look.. Best to block them out ur get a sheet of alue to cover them.. maybe to some engraving???

Gotta love my graphics skills ;-/

I like this one a lot:

However, I don't like the way each window design shows the vertical or horizontal support ledges.

Keep it simple, a nice big window tinted black is my choice.

Heres an idea on a window. Just replace the entire side pannel with a piece of tinted plexi. I did this on a server i lost the side pannel to and it looks great and makes a giant window.

Edit: Heres a quick and ugly photoshop to show what i mean

but personaly i would take either tm36usa's one full window(but with clear plexi (tinted and green tubing doesnt match) ) or sc4mpi's original.
