I receivend the part that i was talking about last monday. To lett the desk look warmer i decided to use a wood top.I choose for oak and in the middle there is a hole were i can put a glass plate in.The only thing i need to do is cutt the corners and sand everything and finish it with some varnish. So next saturday an update again.

Thanks allot mate.
Haha no nuts craig its an oak top. Thanks mate.
Of course ... I would not have guessed that.
This will be very interesting, the design and to see you work with this foreign material.
I only had a few hours to work on the desk today so i have to go back tomorrow.
Here is a small teaser.
More to come.
Lol shame on you Pascal teasing is bad.
Haha sorry mate.
Idd mate its woodie time.
Very nice teaser Pascal, did you use biscuits for the joining. ?
I bought the top craig so i dont know how they made it.
This weekend i made some progress again.First i made the cover for the desk feet.
First i cut the cover.
Then i bend the cover.
Because it was not possible to bend the whole cover i had to let to small pieces open.
For this i cut 2 little pieces of metal and spotwelded them.
Then i welded the cover and id some sanding.
The cover is finisht and this is how the cover looks.
Then it was time to work on the oak top for the desk.
To give the top the same design as the desk ik had to saw the corners.
Then i sanded the corners.
This is how the top looks on the desk.
The top is not finisht yett so more in the next update.
More to come.
