wow, those are long wires, I know P180 needs long wires but this seems too much, I'm very curious on how you'll hide them all :naughty:

Yeah... why not... If you want to choke! Been there, done that. With a flammable pressure bottle that smells bad by itself. The PSU was extremely dusty as I pretty soon discovered. :worried:

Okay. So in the little black box I made a hole that will give me access to the bottom chamber of the case. And all the PSU wires will be coming through that hole like this, through the brass barbs and into the showerhose

Then. (There's 8 wires in a hose) the wires will pop out at the other end like so

They will then need to be shortened and connected to the 24 PIN ATX and a single hose for the 12V Plug

They will bend and plug in like this

Dude. Lol. I'm in an Utter State of lazyness. And school is tiring me out. :( I come home after school and sleep. No modding at all :( I'm sorry. I'll clean my act up in the coming week. I also need to buy some stuff from Performance PC's but me and a few guys are doing a group order and there's constant hick ups. So I haven't done that either. :(

We are also fixin some walls in the house so it's just dust and crap everywhere :( arrrrg I hate it. Anyways. Sorry dude :) Sometime next week

I'm back, and I'm gonna continue this project.

Today I decided to start working on the motherboard panel. Here's a few pics of what I did today:

There's the motherboard on the piece of test plexi

    Outline marked off

    Corner holes plotted

    Corner holes drilled

So I hopped on my bike, and paid a visit to builders warehouse, returned with some bolts and nuts

Screwed them into place on the motherboard

    A closeup

Secured the plexi, and realised that I'm using the wrong motherboard

So I went over to fetch my motherboard, there she is :D

And the two boards next to each other, incase anyone doesn't know the diffirence

    Everything marked out

Time to get it on paper, I mean pixels

First in Scetchup, cause it's easy

    Then into Autocad

So, that is gonna get lasercut on Tuesday, hopefully everything fits perfectly, and there's no need for adjustments.

Then when everything is perfect I'm going to lasercut that design out of black plexi. Sure, black is so plain. But here's my secret. I'm going to put this around all the holes.

In the AutoCAD image, you'll see that Carbon P180 is written in lines, What's going to happen is the lasercutter will just make a thin groove into the black plexi, then I'm going to put a piece of that green plexi beneath that. Then I'm going to have white LED's all over the underside of the motherboard panel to light up the green plexi pieces, and to create a white glow around the motherboard.

I don't know if you guys totally got that. But I'll try make an idea in ScetchUp quickly. And then show it.

Thanks for the read, more updates to come soon :) Will take pics of the current case tomorrow and upload.

    Cheers guys

Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it. Any critisism and ideas can be shared, I'd love to have some insight from you guys.

    Back to modding :D

So another oke on another forum said this:

So, I tested out what he suggested, and here's what happened.

    The UV LED

    vs

    A Super Bright Blue LED

Also notice the diffirence in distance, the UV one was basically next to the plexi while the Blue one was quite a length from it.

... And which led are you going to use? :p

I'm looking forward to your plexiglas in front of the motherboard. Just be sure you have enough airflow BETWEEN the plexiglas and the motherboard. You really dont want 'smoked' plexiglas. ;) If you know what I mean...
