    Hi guys,
I'm starting a new case for myself. i had it gathering dust so i thought... "why not mod this puppy?"
it started out with something simple, and after a lot of thought i was able to come up with some ideas to make this mod a little better, and this is mostly all you guys fault :p because you raise the bar so high, that after that a simpler mod simply wont do...

but enough talk, and lets begin...

    Sponsored by:

    Hardware:
    Rampage 3 Black Edition
    Intel 990x
    12GB (3x4GB) G.Skill 2000mhz CL8
    3x Nvidia Gtx 470
    SilverStone Strider Plus 1000w
    Corsair F120 SSD

    Cooling:
    2x Thermochill TA120.4
    2x Laing 10w
    1x Koolance RP402x2
    12x Noiseblocker XL2
    Aquaero for fan Controll
All psu cables will be custom made and will feature the "no heat-shrink" sleeving touch :p

this case was originally meant for the Snow White Project, but problems with the powder coating (excessive paint) made me scrap the case, and paint a new one. Until i decided that i could use this case for me, since it was free anyway :p

at first i thought of using a 480 and 360 Thermochill TA radiators as well as a Laing E10 pump...

but then i thought... "uhm... maybe a little overkill, no??" :p
    [IMG]

then i dropped that idea and decided to use two 480 rads at the bottom, which meant moving the psu to the 5.25" bay compartment. (don't mind the 800D at the back :p)

Since everything is going to be watercooled I won't be needing the top mesh
    [IMG]

The new (narrower) vertical bars i was planing on using to allow for a 120mm on the back
    [IMG]

Lian-li Aluminium Wheels. IMHO they look like they were made for this case. they go so well with the cases round corners on the front
    [IMG]

Needed to add a plexi spacer for clearance
    [IMG]

5.25" that were cut for the hot-swap system that won't be used any more...

And the parade of parts going to waste continues... this time is the midplate
    [IMG]

    And the backplate
    [IMG]

    To do list:
    - Midplate
    - 5.25" bays
    - Mb tray
    - Side panels (the ones painted don't fit the case, therefore -> trashed)
    - Front pannel

basically all the interior is going to be made from scratch...

I decided create a new cover...

And after a few tries... success!!!

will do something similar on the vga blocks. Aquacomputer AquagraFX nickel for the GTX470.

while i try to finish the cpu waterblock, why don't i show you what i've done with the vga waterblocks :p

And the weapons of choice were... Aquacomputer AquagraFX GTX470 Nickel.

One of the reasons i prefer these blocks over other solutions, they include standoff's
    [IMG]

Using the single slot pci plate makes the cards look so much better and slimer :p
    [IMG]

And it's custom backplate time :) used a different scheme than usual.

The more i looked at the waterblock, the less i liked the top cover (too much of the same colour) so i decided to take care of that as well...

    Almost...

    Almost there...

    Finished look :)

I got a few more ideas for the case by looking/getting inspiration from my G.skill Trident heatspreaders as well as the TJ11.
The idea here is to widden the case a bit (call it a wide body kit, if you like :p)
To do that i thought of interleaving white and black plexi screwed to the chassi of the case on the side "ribs" that were used to fix the side panels, layer over layer until i got the with i wanted

Started the process of cutting the plexi, marking, drilling and finally threading all around the case...

    First Layer is complete
    [IMG]

Don't mind the screws. Those are temporary :)

    Tks :)
This pump can do 4500L/H and 4.5meters of pressure. It also has a knob to controll it from 1-7. and Consumes 62w. 230v
it's generally used for circulating water in house heating systems :p

    tks :)

Here come the rest of the pieces...

    First layer in place
    [IMG]

Another white layer and things begin to take shape...

Second layer, and you can begin to notice the desired effect.

    First side done :)

Only thing missing is the side panel in black plexi.
