After looking at some of these jaw dropping projects that i see on this forum, I just had to join myself up and share some of my creations and ideas with you guys. This my third project I've done, But my first attempt at watercooling using pelts for both CPU and GPU and steathing the the setup just to add the cool factor, I never seen a super clean Watercooled case yet so here's my ideas put into use. This was the last case I thought would suit this project. hiding wires is easy to do, but 1\2 tubing is not, the Lian-li PC70 has 25.21MM of space behind the motherboard tray. Bonus in my book. If your willing to build a stand to lift the case up there's plenty of room under the case for a big radiator like this one 20X6.5 fits just perfect, of course i had this rad custom made. There's lots to this project so if you have questions I would be glad to answer them. Here's the part that gets a little on the crazy side. Have you ever tried too square up the inside of a case before, It's a hair pulling experience, this case is not as accurate as i anticipated. To lay the aluminum panels the internal frame has to be square for a seemless fit. So here's the frame up in the making and one of the most dangerous mods, THE FEARED HARDDIVE WINDOW MOD. I had to pull out all the stops on this one sense I'm already in knee deep and I fear Nada! Zippo!Ziltch! Here's the mess after the storm.
Well 18hrs of modding here's were I'm at. some of the aluminum panels are installed, but the sad thing about all this! it's all gotta come apart again then one more final fitting. It's like building hotrods.
TopGun NEW UPDATES!! Here's just a taste of whats to come. If you look at the size of this badboy you know it's all about business. I had to stand it on it's end just to show it's size. It's a custom rad i had built to fit this case. and yes I'm building a shroud for this too house 3 120MM fans. Here's more radiator Mojo! I still have to complete the shroud and fabricate the base to raise the case up. But so far I'm on schedule and getting closer to running the wiring and water tubing, all the panels are cut and fitted for the last time. Not that much progress but here's the video card with the waterblock and 80W pelt, The wiring to the pelt PSU is completed The project is now starting to take shape and soon heading closer to completion, (Notice the pump location?) I bet you will figure out from these pics were the tubing will go. Yes I did use Luberex were it was needed and AS5
Er. Excuse me? Having said that, some serious ownage is due (especially of your HDDs survive their lid transplant). That is a clean case. It has lots of original ideas and good finish on the implementation. Respect.
Agreed, this is going to be an awesome setup Good to see some clever cable management/ routing aswell, it'll all pay off in the end
wow this looks pretty amazing! do you mind saying how much the radiator cost to be made up, and where from? iv been thinking about getting one made up for my next system but wasnt really sure about how to do it. its a copper/brass rad i assume? keep up the good work!
Very nice aluminum work. I got a question about those pelt swiftec blocks- do you still need to insulate the backside because of condensation issues or what?
To be honest, the cleanest looking watercooled system (till now) is owned by Nexxo. I hope to see some more excellent modding like that here in this thread though! I love what I am seeing already! Especially the HDD mod you did really inspired me. I'll be keeping that in mind
That hard disk mod is one of the nicest mods i've ever seen, and the rest of the case is very nice too. Keep up the good work.
You are actually gonna try a lid replacement on ur hdd's. Those look like nice seagate ones to me. Good luck with them still working.
Very very nice mod... it's all perfectly right except imho the fanguards... Personnaly I would prefer the dusfilter or all covering (like the AC-ones) fanguards. But hey, personal preference is only personal preference. GL with those Hdd's, hope they don't die soon
You guys are forgetting that holley here owns the 'wiring guide' on most forums on the net... nice to see you dropped by mate - nothing new from the FM logs but its looking alright - keep us updated. Edit: oh either my nets seriously slow or you need to get those pics rehosted... imageshack should be great for the log...
I had the radiator made here in town by shop that does custom rads for hotrods and race cars, the Rad is made of brass/copper like any heatercore, It's like 2 Chev Impala heater cores built into one. This one cost me $150.00 CDN. As I know it! yes you do, I also used Conformal coating on the Mobo and V/card just to be on the safe side. You know I was thinking the samething, I gotta go back to the drawing board on this one. How about black anodizing the grills?
Here's a little more wiring, and a quick sorta plumbing mock up, Looking at this makes me want add a case window on this side
I would consider a pragmatic/efficient aproach ,that looks good and if black is your favorite option I would consider this: (example I found @ www.pccasegear.com) Just an example though. Quite expensive one tbh. Nice wiring on the back, I wish I could be that neat in my plexi case And if you're going to use the waterloop with bends like that, I don't think it would do much good to your flow. But with the strength of these new pumps, I wouldn't consider it a problem. More a +1degree celsius jump on your temps You own a hotrod? (pics! )
The Plumbing starts There's still work to do, but here's a little teaser for ya. Darn hose ends never came today. aaahh Fungoo UPS
Looks nice!!! And there are quite a bit of "clean" water cooled cases - not many with everything stealthed, but some are extremely tidy and neat/
