    UPDATE

    UPDATE
It has been 3 weeks since the last update, but I have a good reason for this, i've been selected to start the pilottraining in the Belgian army, therefor I have 6 weeks of camp (with this free weekend between).
This weekend I applied the watercooling
    temperature:

    AIR (stockcooler )
    Idle: 37°C
    Full load: 65°C
This is the coretemp, the cputemp is 8° lower.

WATER (fans on minimum and I used the thermal paste of the stockcooler)
    Idle: 29°C
    Full load: 38°C
This is the coretemp, the cputemp is 8° lower.

Idle a difference of EIGHT degrees and under full load even TWENTYSEVEN degrees, this can even improve by adjusting the fanspeed and using good thermal paste!!!
So I think my watercoolingproject is already a succes!

    Nice temps!

Nice mod also, I've been following your work from the beginning and I most say this turned out really good!
Will there be some pics of the whole thing done soon? Or is there still some things that needs to be done?

I'll give you creds on your reservoar, I thought it would be impossible to do something like that when you started it, but you pulled it off! Looks brilliant though! ;)

after 3 weeks I probably have the time to finish it and to make some good photos, at the moment the case still isn't finished: the hardware isn't properly installed.

    UPDATE

Everyone thougt this thread was dead, BUT it's alive
Ok it has been 6 months, since the last update, but I was really buzy with the studies and all, and I had some problems with the cpu block.
    What I've done this week:

    Holes for the mobo (rougly)
    CPU block with homemade backplate
    [IMG]
Now you can see the radiator properly
    [IMG]
    Installed the PSU
    [IMG]
    Connected the watercooling
    [IMG]
used this as a filter, it was really helpfull
    [IMG]
    connected the cpu block
    [IMG]
some shots to have a better view of it all
    [IMG]
btw it is turned on on the last picture

Im planning to work a lot this week, thus this won't be the last update this year ;)

It's good to see you still at it.:D
The hardware store sells rubber sheets for gaskets. You could use some of that to seal the top of your reservoir.

Now this is something special. Awesome craftsmanship mate, turned out really well. I love the custom W/C rads and res, they look great. +rep

Just a tip though, keep an eye on the Swiftech GTX alu top, mine corroded after 2.5 months of use, I now have a Delrin top.

Exactly! I had the same thing, it corroded and I send it back, they replaced it, but the new one corroded again, I cleaned it and for now I still use it, but I hope to replace it soon.

Yeah I complained directly to Swiftech customer service and they offered me either another alu one or a Delrin one. I contemplated taking the alu and selling the block on Ebay but the cheaper option was the Delrin top. They sent it to me for free, didn't cost me a cent.

Absolutely love the design of this, especially those 'air tubes' directing the cooling (if that's what they're doing?)

Btw re: something you wrote a couple of pages back, tricking a PSU into switching on (so you can test your pump or whatever) when it isn't connected to a motherboard is really easy. Just use a paperclip to connect two specific pins on the ATX connector (I think it's the first green and black ones from the left, but google it and you can see diagrams).

Love the mod anyway; voted for mod of the month.
