I did read the thread, which is why I was able to make that comment. I didn't care who had made the suggestion because it didn't in any way alter what I was saying. Look back and you'll also notice that I never called you confused or foolish, I just responded to your suggestion with a little-known shortcoming of the technology you'd suggested.
Since he wants an uber silent PC I suspect that he isn't finished and is just showing what he is starting from and moving away from. Some words would be nice... And that PSU could power three of those rigs!
oK guys, i read all the comments. It's still a work in progress. Im still waiting for my Quad cpu(q6600) and my ATI 2900 XT. I will also water cool my cpu and GPU. Everything is in the mail. As far as PSU it's actually very quiet because of the 140mm fan. The reason i got the 1200w is because its so cheap. I get 50% off from work. I paid $225 shipped for the PSU. I will update when get all the parts.
Besides water cooling what exactly are you planning for the mod? Don't get me wrong, you did a super good job with the cable management and the case looks clean, but what about this is a case mod?
