Only a little post to start it off. Been doing this project for about a week and isnt that much, mainly a do up of the case i got off ebuyer. The case will have a redesign of the pre modded window as well as fan intakes. A new 120mm blow hole for the top of the case as well as a side 120mm inlet for graphics card and twin 80mm front and rear fans. There is already space for the rear fans so no modding there. The front 80mm's will be heavily modded with most of the chassis having to be cut away. The front is plastic/acrylic/metal with some hard bits so time will be needed there. The top hole is just thin steel so very easy. The PSU mounting on the case makes the PSU too close to my heatsink fan as i have a 120mm on there so modding on mounting needs to be done! As im not of the steady hand and prone to mistakes ive decided to clean up the edges of my case with rubber tubing which will give a smooth looking finish and looks nice One more thing is that i will use gold gauze to cover the holes from the fans which still give airflow but conseal the insides. Thats that for now. Its my first mod so dont laugh please
I knew the name would draw up hopes I hope it looks good myself Ive finished cutting the window hole and had lined it with the rubber edge i just need to fit the plastic window now. The front panel is nearly done. I need to glue and get some fans to fit Also does some dummy bezels with gold gauze. I really need to finish the top inlet. Ive made a rough circle, just needs filing!
There are the tools i have to conquer this mod, as well as a trusty dremmel This is the front panel obviously. Ive removed the bottom half and put sum gauze in for fan inlets. Ive also started a bezel for my hard drive cooler with the gauze. This is the where the psu goes. Ive had to remove a flap of metal which wouldnt allow it to sit in there straight as it has 2 fans. Top fan hole here. The tubing on it is only preliminary so not neat at all. Here is the windows. Not finished yet, still have to make the tubing look nice and the most important thing, the plastic Sorry geocities was crap so hosted elsewhere
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! I have that case. Actually I hate working with it. just be careful if you take the top off because the metal around the PSU area is really quite sharp on mine and I would assume due to the way its made yours may well be the same. I ended up with a big slice in my thumb because if that!!! Anyhow.. looking good. I wanted to see what someone else would do to one of these
or you stop posting and get off the forum... wheres your mod? have you even done any? lamer Looking nice so far lol, you really used tape (? is that correct word? ) to mount the fangrille in the top? looks fun ^^

hi! good modding, it doesnt really matter about the cuts cos they get covered my molding! RoB btw ü is german and in über is pronounced more like oo. as a lot of people cant type umlauts easily they are often replaced by putting an e after the letter, as in ueber. hope thats cleared it up!
Give the guy a chance its his first mod and a least let him finish the project before you start critizing it if you see something wrong point it out so he can correct it Lets keep these forums friendly Ne way maki43 you tidyed that window up well keep updates comming
