Do you guys know St. Martin?

I am certain you are, if not google it and be happy :)
I was happy to because as a Fireman with a Torch I could escort all the children singing sweet Songs and could be amazed by the ocean of lanterns

For payment every child and Fireman got a smal bag with candy and the famous "Weckman"
    Which is just delicous

Than I got news for Project Unknown. I allready showed you the new PSU. I will make my own wires for it to get the perfect fit into this built.

Furthermore moviung in the new Apartment is finished and the decoration can start now.
I will paint one Wall with this awesome picture
    [IMG]

I used CS6 to get the colour out.
Because of the too dark pic in the middle left I wasn't happy with the skin.
Therefore I asked a Modding Mate of mine and he changed it to that
    [IMG]

With that I am quiet happy. I will use i Beamer to get the pic on the Wall and will do it first as a pencil
after that maybe paint but I am not too sure if this is even necessary
We will see. I gonna start the Painting in my christmas vacation end of December :)

Dude, get yourself one of these:

A piercing saw. With the right blade it goes through aluminium like butter, and with absolute precision and control.

Thanks Mate, I love cats, too. Next vacation I will fly to South Africa to visit a good old friend of mine and hopefully we can get into a wildpark to do a little Safari:rock:

I was searching for a saw like that in the Internet till I thought might check the Shed first out maybe you can find something like that in it :)
And i did I found a old piercing saw (which is called Laubsäge in Germany if you translate it into english "Leavesaw") Well it is old but still works fine. I jst have to get new blades for it :). Than i can try cutting out the spare part. Which I leftover cause I was so disapptionted at my last dremel job -.-

But first I got different news:

Two Updates ago i presented you my new PSU. I will custom make all the wire fo this built. My aim will be to have the perfect lenght for every cable. I will redoo all the sleeving work I did before and will replace the old wire with the new one. This will take long, but my choice for fitting GPUs isn't still fixed so I 've got a little time on my Hand. At least when I get a little time off studying Logistics:hip:

I have found the Dremel to be disappointingly bad at cutting aluminium (or brass). The cutting disk seems to sort of smear the aluminium and get clogged up with it as aluminium is soft and sticky. It clogs up my metal files too --brass is a much better material to work with in many respects, but aluminium is cheaper and most importantly, lighter.

I have turned to Victorian clock making and engineering skills and tools to advise me how to approach the problem. Their tools may seem simple, but they were surprisingly effective.

With the piercing saw it all comes down to using the right blade and putting it under good tension (mounting it takes a little practice). If you do it right, you need to exert no pressure while sawing and you won't break the blade.

BTW, I so want those chips. Can't get them here in the UK...

I don't know if I wrote it allready above, but the Fan cut out is out of stainless steel and not aluminium which makes is really tricky to cut because it is not easy. The Dremel cutting wasn't so bad, but my drwaing was there fore and the bottum left corner it got a bent, I will redo it next week with the piercing saw myabe I will get better results :dremel::)

Those chips are pretty tasty. I like them especially when you get them for free :D
I never worked with brassed so I have got not clue about how thats works.
My midplate preexample out of stainless steel was awesome. I know it is quiet expensive if you get it at a home Depot, butI can get at a wholesaler. Therefore It is cheaper than aluminium and more sturdy

Every metal feels different. Brass is popular in Victorian engineering because it looks pretty, is relatively hard, durable and rust-resistant but at the same time softer and easier to work with than iron or steel. Has a tendency to 'grab' the cutting tool though. At high cutting speeds, aluminium is like chewing gum --you need to cut it slowly and with a sharp tool. Iron and steel need slow speeds, lubricant and relatively blunt angles.

I'd use a lubricant when cutting stainless steel. WD40 or cream(!) are surprisingly good for this in a pinch.

Hello Mates, I am back again.:thumb:

I just finished a really stressfull time with alot of exams (ten exams:wallbash:)
Now my whole attention can go back to my Project.

But before my project can start again. I'Ve got to tell you that a small cat was smuggled in my room :D
Suddelny she was sitting and roaring on my wall:rock:

    Here is the story:

    1. I had to draw a scatch on the wall
    [IMG]

2.After that I slowly started to work at the ears. It was really tuff to get the second ear to a good finish. Iam still not satisfied:sigh: , but let's see
    [IMG]

    3.Way better:

    4. Than I started drawing down her Face ( it'S definitly a she :D)

    5. damn that face
    [IMG]

    6. Now to the first paw:thumb:

    7. After 4 hours drawing with a pencil I got really hungry. So it's dinnertime
    [IMG]

    8. With a full stomach drawing is really easy :ugly: . But it's really starting to grow together
    [IMG]

    9. Here you can see. how I draw the spots on the Jaguars fur. I first scatch a spot an than scribble it with the pencil
    [IMG]

    10. [IMG]

    11. Slowly the goal is in reach
    [IMG]

    12. reached the goal :D :rock::jawdrop:

I think i came out jaw dropping.:hip::clap::lol:. I still have to do some finishing touches:nono: . I am still not satisfied with the Nose and some small furry spots ( It was my first time drawing something this huge with a pencil)

How do you think my small cat came out? :thumb: :)
