I know this should be in the project logs but I don't have any pictures as of yet Anyway, as some of you know I'm wanting to watercool my PC, in an Antec 300. Now I won't call this a project log because the last two I did went belly up Regardless this should be short and sweet, hopefully finished by new year's Right, so far I've taken the 140mm fan grill off, the plans will follow I promise, but the basic idea is to have a proper fan grill (not the crappy honeycomb ones already on the 300) supporting the reservoir, with a 140mm fan grill mounted externally. I know it's cheating a bit but it's not as bad as having the res/rad/whatever on the outside (that's my justification anyway ) I've taken out the second lot of 5.25" supports as my radiator won't fit if I don't, it's not prettiful (yet) but I'll tidy it up tomorrow Left to do: -Get distilled water -Leak test -Cut window -Get double sided tape -Enjoy Christmas -Fix radiator fans -Go round mum's -Get Liz back -SORT LIFE OUT
Ok, we *finally* have an update (long story short, but it involves a giraffe, a man with a hairy arsecrack, and the camera going dodgy) Block attached tight fit to get the tubes attached on the res Leak test done, dry as a bone not bad for a first effort Added my fandwich (see what I did there? ) Fan grill>fan>Grill that works as a support for the res Ooh, what's this? UV pink dye from Mayhem's Dyes? (thanks again for mixing it in a 10ml bottle mate ) I should point out, this was a 1.5l bottle of water (as a test)... I added FIVE DROPS and got this result Lights off... taking a photo using it as a flash filter that's some pink-ass stuff STILL left to do: Cut window Get D/S tape Give Mayhem a bit more ass-kissing Sort picture sizes out... give me 10 minutes ...Damn that progressed quick
