Just giving you the heads up on a nice little project I am building for a friend. heres the b4 picture, not a bad looking case, even b4 modding. It's a mATX form case and will have loads of goodies stuck in it. The Virgin Case!
Why bother sticking to that when you can be creative!!!! Notice my naff dremel skillz, sanding and spraying will sort that though. Oh and the front LEDs have been replaced with UV ones.
hahaha nice1, made me chuckle not a bad case to start with be interesting to see what else u have in store for it
well, the work goes on... Who stole ma floppy???? All other holes blocked up! Tidied Up the K a bit (a lot in fact). All is continuing slow time due to personal commitments.... I'll keep u posted!
that's a nice clean cut.. got anything else planned for the case i'm sure i'm not alone in saying that you shouldn't stop now
hmmmmm very tastfully done... for the sake of hillarity why not add some dreds to the case? anyhoot... looks rather nice... but why is the light no longer comming out of the holes on the side panel?
cool that is a MENTAL case right there (posting about his modding i mean) ok im sorry that was very lame however the case rocks. another good reason for blocking off those annoying holes is that they completely muff up your airflow patterns (remember kids, air in from the front, exhaust at the back...) i like the style of the case has a lot of mod potential it seems... and ive seen fly do his stuff it will be wicked when its finished... i love the blue floppy drive 'mouth' it just says FEED ME, but dont expect to be able to get your disks out hehe maybe you can just keep that for tips...
Nice job on the K, definitely. Is it too late to try frosted plexi over those holes? Might diffuse the light better. If he's unlikely to use the floppy bay, how about blocking it with a bit of mesh and some body filler (like plastic padding - flexes without cracking), could look effective (judging by your skillz on the K, anyway. )
thing is, i want the K to really stick out... that's another reason why i blocked them off. And she needs a floppy unfortunately.
It has a dumpy cuteness about it, I like it. I have long been a fan of random steel case mods. Keep it up
OK, Due to lack of time the modding kind of ends here... There is a CDRW to go in as well as a cordless KB/Mouse Combo to be added. Here's the final dose of Eyecandy. Custom Badgeness!!! front view (notice the little thing at the bottom!!! Amethyst Lighted by an LED to tell u: "You've Got Mail!" Also to absorb bad energy apparently and its the Birthstone of the recepient of the case. Uv Paint on the Capacitors and stuff. Giving this effect when just lit by a UV CCFL (the purple isnt actually there, it's my pants camera. Combined Effect! The Final Product (minus CDRW and KB/Mouse of Course) Cables are rounded, all unneeded leads have been trimmed and the rest spirawrapped. The CCFL and crystal LED are controlled by the marvellous LCDC software through the GPOs on the LCD display and their states vary according to various system evens like mail, Winamp Play/Pause, System Power ON. Well, thats about it, I might get my grubby paws on it at a later stage for more goodness but the lady in question will need it for her study for now!
