This mod was started during The Party 5, a dutch lanparty. We (Blackcrown, Jensn and me) received the assignment to put together a live casemodding-act, and so we went looking for sponsors. After sending a huge amount of mails, we went to pick up a silver Xion Stacker at our sponsor's place (IPCS.be).
Blackcrown made a nice sketchup design.
Once arrived we instantly started modding.
Blackcrown and Jensn started stripping the case.
Blackcrown had already made the aluminium at home, so the mounting- and ledholes were drilled.
As you can see the design was followed nicely.
Jensn, our electronics expert, occupied himself of the led soldering work.
    Wiiiii, that looks nice.
The leds fit the front nicely. The glow is exactly as we hoped it would be.
This is where I eventually come in. I made the window using a jigsaw.
A cut-out had to be made in the top aswell.
    In need of some finishing.
The Dremel Scrollstation was a popular tool. Too bad we had to send it back to Dremel.
Some casefeet made by me. It looks easy, but it took quite some time.
Look at all those people admiring our mod! (NOT)
The bayrack cover is made out of gray brushed aluminium.
I started making a buttom-cover. When I wanted to saw it with the Scrollstation, Soefkenijn (a Belgian modder) stopped me and said he wanted to cut it in his own way.
And this is how it turned out. The black line is where it should be broken. Thanks for destroying a 25$ piece of acrylic! :)
In the end, Blackcrown cut the piece just right. Thank god we still had some acrylic left.
    Mounting the whole thing...
    Good enough for me.
Urgh, who said you could use my 300$ camera Jensn?!
The front in all it's glory. Still missing a dvd-rw.

Just for the record: this is how we received the case.

    More soon :D

I've seen it come apart, and I must say its really very close to the 3d sketch. I like the design, it fits the case perfectly :)

I've seen you guys working hard at the case. Looks very good, do you got any further (big) plans for the case?

If the budget allows it, I might put a watercooling in.

I bought two new fans to replace the black one, still don't know which one to take.
    Putting the "LED" in Led-feet.
    Gluegun-power!
I made a hole to put away the cables.

The PSU: a Be Quiet! StraightPower 700W QuadRail
    [IMG]
    Not-modular :/
    [IMG]
To prevent any damage I pasted those white things (how do you say that in English?) on to the acrylic.
    Lights on and lights out!
Hmm, I don't like the light coming through, I'll probably put some tape over that.

    More soon...

    Update: resevoir design!

In a short while, Xionized will be hooked up with a nice watercooling system. For that, we will need to make a resevoir. The resevoir will be one of the eye-catchers of Xionized, so the resevoir needs te be a unique one. To be able to design the resevoir, we used Sketchup. Some screenshots of the design:

With some inspiration of Tribaloverkill, in Xionized style. :) All the darkblue acrylic is meant to be blue UV reactive acrylic.

    Some close-ups:
On top of the resevoir there will be made a fillcap. Also the letters X and Z, standing for Xionized, will be cut out of UVblue acrylic and clued on the resevoir with the help of Acrifix 192.

The resevoir will be clamped down with the help of rings like these. The black looking stuff is powdercoated black aluminium.

A second ring will help the first ring with holding the resevoir in place.
Inside the resevoir, there's a small outlet-pipe. At the end of this pipe, there will be placed a small UVblue acrylic ring.

The downside will be sanded down till it has an angled part, just as the top piece.
The fittings will then also be placed angled. Making them look nicer and easier to connect.

In about a month I will start making this resevoir for Xionized. It will take at least a week to complete it.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome!

I removed the parts from the top, to clean the acrylic. Also, the leds were glued to deep into the acrylic, so the aluminium didn't stick to the acrylic as good as I wanted it to be. I'm gonna put new leds in in a while, but this is already how it should look:

Next month I'm gonna order the $400 watercooling system :) [my wallet says :( ]

    Grtz,
