No, it has just been to little visible progress to post any new pics.

I'm currently making the mechanism to attach the shell to the body, when done the head piece for example will only need one screw.

Oh btw, I did order the UV lights today

Time for a small update again:

The bug was powered on for the first time without any incidents and Windows 2000 was installed together with about 100MB of windowsupdate stuff. The amount of noise generated by the single fan is close to zero.

The watercooled computer behind is Syrinix, the last normal computer modded by me back in 2001. It is fun to see how everything evolves, back then 1/2" ID tube was king, now 1/4" is working just as well.

A clip mechanism was cut out from an aluminium profile to hold the head piece of the shell in place. The upper baseplate together with the profiles are attached to the bug with the harddrive screws.

The other half of the mechanism put in place to show how it will fit. The leg facing the back was later cut and bent so a single bolt is all that is needed to hold the head shell safaly in place.

Milliput was used again to attach the top piece to the shell.

Wow, looks nice. Thats a pretty clever mechanism for the attatchment of the shell. Im trying to figure out what those white arms are. For the other halfs of the shell? I have an idea I think. Looking very very cool, the cf top definately works with the sides and bottom.

Dang mashie, your custom fab jobs are nothing short of uC fab room level cleanliness.

    Great work as always mashie.

Me thinks a better use of servo's would be to have a pair of giant wings that would move. My opinion though

I did, a very long time ago though!

But, Penski said "They're servos to make the shell move out."

pah, you need to take EVERYTHING Penski says with a truck load of salt, vinegar, large chips, curry, mushy peas and a steak and kidney pie (prefably Pukka pies)
