I can't seem to find enough time for this build. It would need just one weekend of solid work to make some real progress.. But soon.. ;)

Oh, and thanks for all the nice comments. You rock! :thumb: :D

Anyway, frontpanel has now hole for logo lights. It has 1mm alu backpanel glued on too, so there's 3mm deep pocket for plastic and leds. Plastic fit really nicely there and I even milled some grooves for leds.. Quickly tested the setup just to find out it was polycarb and not acrylic. I have both materials mixed in my offcuts box.. :duh: Polycarb is much worse for lighting purposes.. Luckily it might not matter with my final design. But I still think redoing it from acrylic.

    And how it looks currently:

Better progress is coming soon.. Probably.. I hope.. :D

I probably should go commit Harikiri for missing this one! :worried:

I have no idea how this slipped past me, but I was a great read!

This is just an amazing idea, and just as amazing work! :thumb:

Very nice. Love the sleeving. Like a few people have mentioned, the shape reminds me of something too, but I can't put my finger on it.

Oh man, so many comments. I feel bad for not checking here more often. :duh: Thank you everyone! :thumb:

Made some progress this weekend, not many photo worth things but still:
    - Made inner panel with all the cable management holes.
    - Thought about cable routing.
    - Scrapped cable tray, it was unnecessarily complex. But idea was good and might return in some other project. Makes really no sense in this build since I have more space for cables than in normal case (30+mm). Oh, and cables will be really short.
    - Made new light background from acrylic - much better.
    - Made some adjusting to intake/exhaust grille design, new version will fit the style way better than normal mesh. To be built soon.
    - Thought about SSD's mounting, SATA cable fits really nicely under the mobo. SSD will be mounted beside the GPU.
    - Measured all the needed wire lengths. 24pin and 2x6pin to be sleeved this week. Have to think about color pattern.. Little bit of white and color-X with black.

Week 9 is a holiday week and I'm forcing myself to complete many things before it. Trying really hard to get case painted then and after that it'll be finishing touches until Ivy Bridge is released.

I'll check the camera tomorrow - Started taking photos 5 min before leaving for the bus, so I don't have high hopes for good quality photos. :D

Got something from a friend.. :)

And I started to shorten the cables for sleeving.. It's already one huge mess.

I'm pretty sure too that I'm going with heatshrinked sleeving in the end. Got really pissed off crimping sleeve with cables - MDPC-X crimping tool isn't really suitable for that. But well done heatshrinking should look good too..

Might as well show the overall color theme.. This is the paint scheme I'm thinking:

    Buggy textures.. :duh: :D

That paint scheme look's fantastic. A perfect balance of the ROG colours methinks.

    Thanks guys. :thumb:

KoSoVaR^, what's wrong with 3M DiNoc? It looks good and creates a bit contrast and texture. Plain black is boring. :)

    Thanks again guys! :D

    Small progress..

    Inner panel:

Quick size comparison with Antec 300:

Motherboard tray mostly finished - at least something is starting to be done. :)

Also had little time to start cutting exhaust. This is going to be the last big thing to build. Kinda shame to cut so beautiful part, but she need to be able to breathe!

Ok, that's not much, but I got distracted by homemade lasagna.. :D

All the missing small things are going to be ordered asap and painting should be just around the corner. All the little things just take so much time to get just right.

    :D

My heatshrink work seriously sucked, so I had to find another way to sleeve cables. Earlier I was going to crimp wires with sleeve and that didn't really work even thought it seemed good first. But now I found much better way to do it and first heatshrinkless cable is looking great!

Just need to go and buy some more lighter gas tomorrow so I can finish 24pin. :thumb:
