Hello

Before I can finish Alpha I decided to work on a little project.....

I've saved the life of a display rack used to show batterys and other products from VARTA.
(I'll show u the full rack in a future post).

For now I've just used the bottom part .... a box !!

This box will be on 4 plexi round (??) ...stol..FOUND in a restaurant that use little flags
with "MENU EXPRESS" write on them - they are put on the table and use to say
"EH man i'm hungry and i just have 1 hours for lunch"





and this is the box !!







On the pics the box looks like to be big but no ! I had to use a micro ATX mobo to fit in.

Mensurations of the case:

height : 40 cm
deep (??) : 14,5 cm
max width (middle) : 28,5 cm
min width (top,bottom) : 24 cm

English metric convertion is for u


same plexi used for Alpha

 

DVD + HDD on top , PSU will go bottom.

Nice mod man, simply amazing.

See if you can find a smaller one about half the size, and then 5 smaller ones about the size of say...surround sound speakers? That would look pimp.

The concept of re-using something, like you have shown to be quite possible, is one of my favorite mods to watch come together. Although its always nice to see some of the shiny mods........Anyways, just wondering why you chose to mount the hd ontop on the cd drive. I realize there are holes for ventilation above the hd, but I think the heat generated from the cd drive (mostly when its in use) might have certain negative effects on the hard drive.
