Ok say i couldnt find image hosting so i made a quick geocities pictcha page Czech it owt!!!

So this is still a work in progess, need to make a front panel for the lcd with all the buttons and the ir.

The grills are custom by me and have some nice black alu mesh under them to keep out all the nasties that can try and get in.

Its a yeoung yang (sp) 2201 black cube case and it has alot of space inside.

oh yeah, youll notice nothing in any of the pci or agp slots.. damn slow ground shipping, i wanna play now!!!

geiger as in the radiation counter?

or Giger as in the brilliant artists who designed Alien and Species creatures?

the latter would rock out so hard

    Nice work.

Two questions about the case if you don't mind. First, what is your opinion on the work required to create a slide-out MB tray (for this case of course)? Second, If you remove the front 'plastic' so only the bare metal was visible, can drives be mounted flush with the surface?

they actually dont kill airflow that much, the minimal loss of air movement is acceptable when you couple the fact that the alu mesh takes all dust bunnies out.
    I hate those things

well for a slide out mobo tray for this case, shoudlnt be too bad.
The construction of the case is such that the whole mobo side of the box could be ripped out and made into a slide system. I might try that. and yes you can easily fluch mount the drives. Word to note though, the front metal is kinda ugly.

Thanks for the info. I'm not planning on leaving the front visible, just making a custom front. I think I'm going to pick one of these up.

Links to pictures are not welcome. If you need help with proper hosting so you can do direct linking, email them to mashie@bit-tech.net

Also this project looks almost finished, got any pics from an earlier stage of the modding?
