Has there been a review on here for the Prolimatech Megahalems which I've missed?

I think its one of the best CPU coolers, for its class, available yet I can't see a review on bit-tech detailing it.

If this is the case, why hasn't it been reviewed?

There are TONS of review online on that cooler. Just google it. It's great. I'm a convert.

:) Its a great cooler and as you rightly say there are a number of reviews on it.

However, it wasn't too long ago when I was asking on here which cooler to get:

    Prolimatech, Noctua or Thermalright

I pretty much use the Custom PC magazine and bit-tech as my first point of reference when looking at hardware, and would have been extremely interested to read bit-tech's review on the Prolimatech.

In fact I still am interested as I still think its arguably the best air cooler, for the price, available.

hardware canucks have a good review of it. then again, it was only .2 degrees better than the fenrir when they tested that.

I think the Megahalem result used was with a single fan (not high speed). If that's right, then it would have a greater lead over then Fenrir with different/more fans equipped.

the same reasoning was used on the venomous-X review here. obviously with a very high speed fan (or 2) the temps will be better, but at the expense of it sounding like a wind tunnel.

    theres always a trade-off.

Fair point, but weren't the fans used in the two fan setup rather low speed and quiet? In which case the tradeoff for noise isn't there, although it would be much pricier than a Fenrir at any rate.
