Link. Anyone ever used one of these and can account for quality or performance? I'm considering buying one as my HD4870's stock cooler is now struggling to keep things below 50'C on idle, where it used to idle at 40. Besides which, I've heard rumours about how good aftermarket coolers can be and I'm intrigued.
I have one waiting for its turn, but haven't got around installing it to anything. It sure FEELS good, very solid construction, weights a ton, etc. That said, also the Accelero S1 (rev2) with any quiet 120 mm fan will be an excellent choice, and probably cost a bit less as well.
from what iv read the thing is mahoosive, and also doesnt cool your VRMs. so it keeps your gpu temps down but your VRM temps skyrocket.
I don't have a readout for my vRAM temps and I've never thought to check it. Is there an aftermarket cooler you'd recommend that would take care of both?
I really need some decent cooling for my gtx275, it managed to get to 102* last night while i was playing with the torque3D demo!! My main issue is with bit struggling to find a good one from the lot they tested, im reluctant to try anything, full water cooling isnt an option atm, Is that Prolimatech actually any good?
