Playstation 3 PS3 bleeping when shut down

    Hi all

    Has anyone else noticed there PS3 acting strangely since the 3.10 update.
    Ever since the new firmware my launch week PS3 has now started bleeping 3 times when I shut down and it when I restart there is a delay and I get a Please Wait message on the screen. It seems to take about 30 seconds for the message to disappear and then it starts up as normal.
    Has anyone else noticed this happening to there console or is it just mine???

    I've had the three beeping when turning it off for awhile, dosent seem to be affecting anything though so have just ignored it! :thumb:

    I have had random freezing on occasion though...I just restart...:worried:

    Is the 3 bleeps not to say you're doing a hard / fast shutdown? I'm sure mines bleeps 3 times if i hold the power button for 5 secs or so.

    If it was doing the sharp / unclean shutdown that would fit with the please wait message. I see that if i yank the power without turning off the PS3 first.

    I think mine does it when I try and turn off when its recording TV via Play TV. Im sure in my case its bleeping to let me know it cant shut down yet until play TV finsishes.

    I'm shutting down by pressing the controller PS button and it doesn't happen every time, every other time maybe. I don't even have to have been playing a game for the bleeping to occur.

    Are there any slim PS3's getting the bleeping or is it mainly the original versions??

    it just means you've shut it down in a game or doing something and your not on the XMB.
