    Heh, I've been refreshing every gaming news site for the past hour I think. Looking good so far.

    The render floating around is a blatant fake. And thank god, since it just looks like some kind of Blu-Ray recorder or something!

    O sony, thank you for stealing microsoft's thunder. Although sony is notorious for overestimating their system performance, if the PS3 gets even 1.5 tflops, it will still be amazing. The games looks really sweet (read gamespot=killzone).

    i knew it.....i been saying it in other threds........anything the competition does sony HAS to do better....they do it with everything! even bedside radios!.....it sound like a one beafy spec machine but i'd love to see it in it's skin...

    The vidjo for Gran Turismo 5 is pretty stunning. Particularly when the camera pans over the pit area.

    Ooo slot loader, nice. I like the curve look but definately in black or white over silver if it shines like that and preferably if it's in something like aluminium rather than crappy plastic.

    The controllers have decent palm grips! WOOHOO! finally i something to grab onto.

    WOW Memory stick, SD, COMPLETE backward compatability and 2.5" harddisk.

    2 HD OUTPUTS! OMFG /falls over. Hardware (cell based) dolby processing.

    I-need-this-console :|

    I'm sure the guts are nice (although 35 times more powerful than a PS2 :eyebrow: ) but if it had a clear lid it would look a bit like a George Forman grill.

    And the controller is possibly the most ugly I have ever seen. It looks like something designed 10 years ago. :wallbash:

    able to pump out 2x as many flops as xbox360, yeah all well and good, but,

    it's a ****ing beast to program for. i mean really. NOBODY has a decently optimised compiler for vectorised CPUs. so that means the programmers are gonna (shock!) have to put some serious work into code.

    peeps at gamestation told me that the controller was fugly and dam..it really is aint it, tbh that has actually put me off the whole console as i just cannot see myself playing with that. That graphics card though :jawdrop: ...so guys which colour would you get supposing that the pictures shown in the gallery are the colours which will be released together? i would get black.

    have you seen the demos? that Off Roader looks awsome, if thats ingame (which it could be with that power behind it) then it is a definate keeper. The killzone footage looks pretty good aswell...

    i actually like the console's looks. it looks like a playstation..

    As much as I hate Sony for what they've done to the gaming market, I've gotta admit that the PS3 sounds like it's gonna kick ass - I may even buy one!

    But I see they're still going for the "d-pad split into 4 sections" design - I hate that...feels so akward and flimsy!
    (IMO Nintendo make the best d-pads (not suprising, since they invented them)).
