Hey, ive just done the vga mod to the PSone LCD screen. However the monitor cable i used did not have a dcc pin so i took 5v from the pin on the back. My problem is that my computer doesnt recognized the screen so i cannot use power strip

THe screen switches on when power is supplied and when the computer is turned on the sceen does change to a blueish colour no scrolling tho.

To see if it would work i connected up my other CRT and when that was on switched the socket for the LCD and it had lots of scrolling lines then in powerstrip i could change the lines by altering the frequency i didnt get a picture though.

    Thanks

Ive been looking around and there appears to be a 75ohm resistor fix for the rgb channels do they go between the cable and the screen (in series) or do they go between the rgb channel and is ground?

Has anyone tried this, does it work?

Cant remebr about the resitor... but you should be able to get it working by doing this:

Connect CRT monitor, enable 2nd display, set desktop res to 800*600

Open power strip, change it to 720*576 (for pal) or 640*480 (for NTSC). The crt should now not be able to show a picture because they dont support that res, atleast not atthe timings you want.
Connect the LCD now, it should be scrolling. Set thte correct timings and tune them a bbit to get a decent picture, then ave the config in powertrip.

Untill you goto display propertys again, the LCD should always work even after restarting pc. You will need to have powerstrip set to boot with wndows for it to apply the correct timings each time you boot.
