I decided to buy myself a psp go to try out (2nd hand).

Is it possible to convert one of my dvd's to say MP4 and then play it on the PSP, I have googled it and it seems to be but I'd like to know from someone who has done it on here.

I'm not talking about any dodgy file sharing crap but my own purchased dvd's.

Handbrake should work. But I don't think it allows for ripping AFAIK. As long as you have a proper ripping software, you can encode it into .mp4 or whatever you desire.

    Handbrake can do it.

    Supported video Codecs for PSP's:

    Or you could try PSPVideo9

Handbrake can rip, you just select the DVD as the source.

Have a look at dvd catalyst. Costs $9.95 but is really good. I use it for converting dvd to play on both my Android tablet and ipod connected to the tv. Has preprogrammed profiles for loads of devices so much easier than faffing about with handbrake.

    There is a trial version.

Well I tried the PSP one and it wanted to download two other programs but when you clicked on the links nothing happened, so then I tried to use handbrake, I didn't even know where to start it was so complicated looking.

In the end I gave the free trial of catalyst a go and it's plain and simple and works like a charm so they just got £6.50 of my money :)

    Cheers Guys
