Hi everyone. I was just wondering who has modded a psp. And how they did it. As i was thinking of modding mine.
Wilkommen Zum Bit-tech! There are a number of things you can try - LED kits, custom cases, louder speakers... Also, you can have just a much fun playing with custom firmware... I see a lot of this stuff: and some more creative mods like: Also, some rather special individuals are trying things like PSP Phones, and PSP iPods...
Start off with something simple... buy a couple of spray paint cans (car paint), a couple of variety packs of sand/glass paper, and have a go at dismantling something and painting it. Its a good way to get started.
check out Acidmods.com it was and still is one of my home sites. and as far as i know there is only one other person than me to have knocked out the EL-wire mod. check it out. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6fot8KQl_tU
I must say Tec_ that EL wire mod looks quite good on that PSP. Too bad Im not gutsy enough to risk my PSP on doing it.
i have 3 of them so im not so worried about totaling one as for tools your standard soldering iron and small screw driver set will get you as far as lit triggers. if your going to take a run at the umd door a dremel comes in nicely. sorry for all the misspellings for what ever reason i cant get fire fox on my work laptop. and i might be a little drunk
its not easy if its your first time. its all surface mount. Might try buying some kits cause that can be cheaper than a new or used psp. im also a trained Electronics Technician so i have that to my advantage. but if you have any questions or issues or need tutorials, im telling ya acidmods is the place to be.
you should be able to find some peopel selling kits at acid mods but just like every ware else on the internet buy at your own risk (i think there was talk about some scamers trying to **** some peopel over)
