So i ordered an EVGA Supernova 650g from Amazon, a bargain at £65 i thought.

The first one i received made a strange whirling sound, so RMA'd it. 2nd one came, and this one made a strange crackling sound, so RMA'd that too. 3rd one came today, plugged it in, and it makes a strange whirling sound AND a quiet electrical cracking sound.

Obviously, i'm a little annoyed about this!! I'm not going to get a 4th (funnily enough). Can anyone recommend a replacement for this please? I'm not sure what to go for, and don't want to spend much more than i did on this one.

    Thanks for the help!!!

Should pursue a straight refund for that EVGA unit.

What hookups do you need from the PSU? Any SLI or Crossfire action?

No SLI or anything, i5 4560k, 770gtx 2gb, MSI z87i gaming, h80, an SSD and a HDD... I'm thinking Corsair RM 650 and getting Amazon to help me out a little for the trouble of returning 3 PSUs...!!!

Yeah they've sorted all that out, been good in that respect. Was hoping the might give a bit of compensation to help with the replacement, as i've been leaving work to sort the replacements!
