PSU Dead?

    Hi got my new bit`s friday gone and its been working ok,until today when i got up to turn it on,all that happens is fans turn like its gona boot then stops dead,ive tryed clearing the bios still no go.

    MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (Socket 939) Motherboard
    AMD Athlon 64 3500 (Socket 939)
    Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 160GB SATA 8MB Cache
    NEC ND2510A Dual Layer
    LiteON LTR-52327S
    Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200C2PT
    ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
    Enermax 431 psu.

    I may want a better psu anyhow what would you recomend it get.

    It does look like your PSU is gone, but that kind of symptom can be caused by other things (mainly the board and CPU, but also other devices if they're trying to pull too much power). Can you borrow someone else's PSU to try in your system to make sure?

    Can also happen if your heatsink is not properly mounted..That is to say, if everything runs for a moment before turning off (though I may have misread - if it's just the PSU fans then ignore my post and read Kameleon's ;))

    Ive tryed the psu in my kids pc and its fine,so looks like it`s the cpu or motherboard,ive put the retail cooler on and its a tight fit.

    Arrrrrh got to rma them now :wallbash:
