PSU goin bad?

    Sometimes gettin boot issues, ie turn PC on and the machine just sits there doin nothing, fans spun up etc.. but nothing happens.
    Then, last night the pc just reset itself.... Have checked for virues and the voltage lines seem ok....
    Gut feeling is the PSU is dyin.... any thoughts?

    Sounds like a dodgy mobo to me.

    Could be related to your overclock? see if brining it down a bit, say 166x12.5, helps at all. what were u doing when it just reset itself? if you just put in a dvd or suddenly put load an another device that could caused a blip in the PSU if its running at the limit.

    Before you throw out the motherboard, check out anything else that you can. Make sure your video card is seated well. Make sure your ram is sitting well. Maybe even run memtest on your ram just for good measure. Try a different power supply.

    My dad's machine had the PSU go bad on him. It basically acted similar to what you are saying. Although I don't think it ever rebooted on him. That didn't start until his RAM went bad. That'll teach him to try to save a little money buying cheap generic crap. :D

    well one issue could be the CPU fan speed.. from what i remeber it only happened when the fan was set to run at 7v, and has been fine since i've left it swtiched to 12...
    As for the rest, jsut re-downloaded americas army, and it reset again, so i' thinking it doesnt like summit there....
