i want to add another psu to ma comp but i don't have the room for a full sized one. i was thinkin about mounting it inside a cdrom case but im not sure if it will work. if anybody has a guide to this mod it would be a huge help.

Don't recall where, but I did see this done before. Just so you know its out there somewhere.
I can tell you I likely found the link from here or on that Hard site.

i would just duct tapped it wherever i could find space. (if i had none inside, thats why they put tops on cases, so you can duct tape psus to em ;) )

THIS MAN DESERVES AN AWARD :D for loyalty to computers everywhere :)

on another note, that link to subsero place for making a slim PSU is gone, heres the new link here but surely if you make the PSU sand coat the inside with rubber or another non conductive material then it woul dbe alright, and would keep frying to a minimum :)

So they can put extra stuff in their case, but i dont need it for that, or wouldnt use it like that, i owuld just use slitters :)

I want one so itll fit inside a PS1 case, which this will, just about!

1U PSU's are expensive, especially if you want a lot of power, 300w for example. I was looking at one for about $300 (£200), for my to be designed Cube PC.

Also, the fans for 1U PSU's are loud, because they are smaller.
