Howdy, ya'll. I guess this could also go in electronics, not sure. I was wondering... Do any of you know of any mods you can do to a power supply to raise or lower the voltages? I already posted a question in the electronics section about my voltages. My 5V+ line runs steadily at 4.83V+ but fluctuates in a range of 4.83V+ - 4.81V+ and my 12V+ line fluctuates in the range of about 12.38V+ - 12.46V+. This was monitored through the bios on an Epox motherboard. If this is fine or I can't do anything about it then I'll send this power supply back and get a 550W CWT (Antec).

I wouldn't bother trying to mod a psu to alter voltages unless you know a lot about electronics and are very bored.

If your pc keeps randomly freezing and rebooting, just get a new psu. If it runs stably, dont worry about the figures. A psu needs to operate within about 5% tolerances, so that 5.25v - 4.75v is fine, and 12.6v - 11.4v.

If you really want to check your voltages use a good multimeter.

I wouldn't bother with this mod unless you're having stability problems. How are you measuring the voltages? Unless you've tested the voltages with an accurate DMM, I suspect the voltages are not really that at all. The BIOS reading is not all that accurate contrary to what some people say.
