ok sometimes my comp will randomly turn off, i formatted my computer still happens now what can be the prob? (it used to not be able to turn on sometimes, without waiting a while after turning it off) ok well i have a fortron blue storm ax-500, ive had it for like 5 months or so my specs are in my sig Now im also running 3 delta 120mm fans, 1 120mm led fan, 2 low cfm led fans, and my 92mm fan for my heatsink. im running 3 hard drives, all in ide and one dvd burner. I do have the 3 deltas and the cpu fan connected to my fan controller so what can be the prob? could i have screwed up the psu? i opened it up, and moved the fan a lil bit, then put it back together (thats really all i did to it) so whats up?
is there anything you do shortly prior to it crashing? I know that if i aggess a folder with a corrupted image (.jpg) file in it, my computer will crash hard (instant, no saved data, black screen)
well its usually random, sometimes during games, one time i was encoding a dvd and it just rebooted also, sometimes the mobo and hard drives and cpu end up shutting down, and the fans still run WTH? also on my fan controller, i have a fan on each channel (4 chanels, 4 fans) i actually have 2 deltas and one imitation delta. It pushes the same amount of cfm, just as loud too. But ya the 2 deltas run on my fan controller fine, but the imitation doesnt work as good. It used to work perfectly when i first put the fan in. Now after like 2-3 weeks, i cant turn the fan down all the way, other wise it starts having problems, and will have trouble turning, like itll move, a bit and sorta fluctuate you know? it basically has trouble spinning. Itll turn a bit every few seconds and stuff but it struggles
I've had a similar problem occur twice. 1st time turned out to be a faulty HDD (i downloaded seatools diagnostic and it failed), it was still under warranty so got replaced. 2nd time it was the PSU, the only spare PSU i had was lower wattage, but it's still working fine with my current rig. check for diagnostic tools online for your HDD's, that will hopefully eliminate them as the culprit
i think you have a component overheating - games and DVD encoding are high-stress for computers. the fan not running is probably contributing, and three (but actualy 2) 120's on a fanbus that are turned all the way down makes me say that you probably dont have enugh airflow. besides CPU, GPU, and northbridge, hard drives can overheat, so can the MOSFETs that control CPU voltage. try to download something like MBM to monitor temps. you want everything under 50c. you can try cracking yoru case door open and cooling it with a box fan (the type that are 1m tall and run off mains) to see if it still crashes.
o my bad i forgot to post my temps with all the fans low on my rheobus (i have 3 80s, that are hooked to my switches i made, run on off, 7v and 12v, but i always have them off) but ya with my cpu fan, 2 120s, and the other fan (which is a little under the medium setting on my fan controller, since if i go lower it starts screwing up) my temps are 38 idle, and 42 load. I usually game with fan controller fans (cpu fan which is 92mm, and the 3 120s, on medium, load is 38) so its not cpu temps at least, hard drive i dunno. the psu was working fine 2 days earlier in my old case. As soon as i switched cases/opened the psu, it got screwed up
