    I am wondering if it is posible to get 5.8 volts and 1 amp out of a power supply to power a mouse charger??

    the ATX psu outputs 3.3, 5, and 12 volt rails. you have to do a little wiring but i believe its possible

    BTW the AT only has the 5 and the 12

    You can use a 6V regulator running off the 12V line or, if you want to be picky, you can use an adjustable unit to get your 5.8V.
