Ok my question may sound really stupid, but when there is this X psu that say it offers 400 Watts power. What does this actually mean? Does it mean that I will have more molex' connectors hanging free or what?

Not really, though there could be a 6-pin connector included. The extra power will supply power-crazed processors, graphics cards, etc.

Dozens. I think a molex wire can carry around 10A, the average fan takes under 0.25A, so 40 is about your limit.
