    I was wondering i've got a 300w PSU and it only came with 3 connectors, 2 with 3 1/2 adapters. I've got the 2 HDD's, 2 DVD's, the Live Drive and 2 fans.

    What can PSU take?

and also how hot should they get?

Well i would say if your running an athlon setup that your getting close to the limits of that PS. Even though they are pricey, a quality 420w is always a good investment.

use motherboard monitor to monitor the voltages and see if any off the voltages ae really low then you know that you have to much running off of the psu.

    Cheers

I added an old SCSI 5 1/4 PSU this morning to run the fans, Dremmel's are good but Hacksaws really kick @$$.

Does any one think it was a bad idea to add it or not? It's only going to run 2 80mm fans (doing that now). Maybe a 120mm fan (running @ 12v) and 2 90mm fans? I'm a bit concerned it that the PSU's are hot. The idea behind the old SCSI PSU was I can turn all but the CPU, Gcard and Co-Processor off at night if the system isn't in use.

Can anyone think off another way to powerdown the fans or another mod to powerdown the fans?
