Has anyone got one of these, if so, how good are they? Psyko audio labs The headset review made me think about them.
We are still waiting a review sample actually. I'll have to get onto them again. I did a podcast last year with http://www.themodbrothers.com/ and one of the founders of Psyko audio.
Cool ty I have emailed them a number of times but it turns out they won't ship to the UK for another 6 months :-(, I just wanted to torture myself more by hearing how good they were.
what that actually means is instead of us getting them for $299 ~£190. they'll more than likely be £300 quid, i do like the look of them tho. Wonder if i can get somebody to get me a pair
Is it just me, or do all the product images on the site look awfully like rendered 3d images, rather than pics of the actual product.
I think they underestimated the demand/interest. If you google for a review you will not find many, and the product is sold out for months ahead. I emailed them about beeing able to connect my Asus Xonar Essence to it (stereo card) and I got the response that they would be releasing a Xbox compatible model this year with optical in, which would suit my card fine. Keep a lookout for them at CES please.
Have you had a look at the Astro Gaming A40 headset and mixamp set? Similar to the Pysko performance wise im not sure. 2 of my friends who have a set (both headset and mixamp) suggested them to me and Im glad I got them. Made a real difference playing games online say ps3 or xbox, and I use them for playing PC games as well such as BF2 Project Reality, or just for sound for games like Empire Total War. Even use them sometimes for music, although they are not really designed for listening to music but they seem ok to me in that respect, and I do use them to watch tv as well I pretty much have a optical cable setup for my sound from both PC, ps3 and tv!
Now that Psyko are actually shipping again I thought it was time to give this thread a bump to see if bit-tech had had any luck on grabing a set for a revew?
We've heard nothing afaik. But then again, I'm not longer in the UK and I don't think the guys in the office know the Psyko audio US team,
