The final result is amazing, a very nice build, even as someone who doesn't really like purple I can't help but appreciate this build.

    Thanks all :thumb:

    Seems along time ago now.

Purple Rain has gone to a new home in sunny Scotland, to enable me to work on my next project.

    'Monolith' , link in sig.

Look out for Readers Drives in the upcoming issues of CustomPC mag for a few more pictures, including my ugly mug !

Its nice to know that builds are appreciated, that goes for all builds here

    Cheers,

    Mark

Yep, your mug pics were so ugly when we opened them, all the windows shattered in the building and then the PC caught fire!!!! :D

FYI Purple Rain will appear in Issue 81, on sale: Thursday, 15th April 2010.

    Hi,

I bit late in commenting - but what a fantastic build.

It has given me plenty of inspiration for mine.

Thank you and welcome to Bit-tech.

I'm flattered that your first post is about about my build, much appreciated.:thumb:

I look forward to seeing your build and if you want to ask any questions then feel free to drop me a pm.

    Cheers,

    Hi

Thanks very much - I will probably take you up on that

My build is done - but right now it's just a functional black case with some remedial cable routing

I do like your colour choice (even my missus likes it:jawdrop:) and the Tacens fans are fantastic. Hopefully we will be able to get them over here soon. At the moment I'm using blue UV Gelid Wings

The only thing that's driving me mad at the moment is to find a way to quieten my hard drives. Mine are in a nine bay 3.5" rack just above the PSU. Apart from making a custom 5.25" rack I can't think of a solution to hush them a bit

Are you planning any further updates or another project

    Many thanks

    RON

    An incredible build!

How much does it weigh? Was sat here thinking how difficult it'd be to go a LAN with it :)

Great job... that purple is awsome; and fits really nice with white.

Can you take some outdoor pics? Will apreciate the color much better with natural light

    Congrats!
