Im planning to start a mod, using a cheep case of ebuyer and stripping it down to the basics. then building a purspex shell round it. it will be pretty simple, but this is my first mod :dremel:

So where can i get purspex. i have looked on coolercases.co.uk, but the sheets are to small. the case i was lookign at getting is 440mm X 445mm, so i need something bigger than that. i looked at performance-pc aswell, but shipping from america is costly.

Any help would be amazing thanks! lets get this mod going (maybe i should get some plans down :p)

try kustompcs, a bit expensive but the AC-Ryan panels they do there are 500x500mm square in either 3mm or 5mm thickness...

TIP: dont mess up and have to place two orders if you forget something, cos the postage is a bugger on that site...

All online places are fairly expensive, try your local glass shop or small-scale hardware store, try and bag some free offcuts

*EDIT* - oh and although they only say they sell to schools and orginistation, there is nothing stopping you from ordering from Hindleys (http://www.hindleys.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=7_57_60 try that link for their plastics section) prices arent bad, i havent ordered from them yet so i cant comment on the quality of the goods or the service

I'm here in America but I use Tapplastics.com. They have a wide range of plastic sheets in all colors transparent or solid. Just a thought if you have a last resort.

Go to technology supplies (it's in the sticky). It's about a tenner for a full size sheet.

Well i made some plans. Be it on some paper sketched with a pensil. Here
Its only going to house a single slot loading dvd drive in the top, and a single hard drive. using the frame of the origional case, it should be pretty simple (yea like that will happen) I have experance with electronics and working with purspex and metal, just i dont have much tools, so it could be fun.

Thanks for the links, looks like some good prices. lot less than i was looking at at first, hopefuly get this up and modding in the next few weeks!

    Thoughts?
