    Hi all.
I've bought 4 Scythe Slipstream fans with pwm control dead cheap on ebay.
I don't realy need pwn control as i have a fan controller, and now I want to know if I can cut the PWM wire and let the fan controller take over?

If you're talking about a fan controller with 3-pin connections (which most of them have), there's no need to cut the 4th wire as it will be unconnected and therefore won't do anything. You can leave the 4th wire intact and still control the fan with voltage control.

yeah.. cut the wire and it'll go 100%

it's the blue wire usually- well if it's on a 3 pin just leave it.. didn't see that till read lennys =] you can do this on video cards too if want the fan to be out of control

I have one of those slipstream fans.. they are garbage man! they don't blow any air

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but what do you need to turn a non pwn fan into one? I.e a Gentle typhoon?

Well nevertheless I bet they´re better than my current ones: they blow, and not at all in a good way! :worried:
