You need a different PSU, not a bigger one. Prefarably one with a bigger single rail

Use both colored pci-e connectors (yellow with blue, yellow/orange iirc wiring) on the psu. That should be more than enough

Zalgard, listen to everybody here, you dont need a power supply with more wattage you want one with a single high amp rail, such as the HX1000, and if that is enough to run quad crossfire with a 965 clocked at over 4GHz, both of the 2870X2's clocked highly, and running watercooling for it all......
Read through the thread, these guys know what they are talking about.....

We ran dual GeForce GTX 295s in Quad SLI from a 1,000W Enermax Galaxy DXX without any stability issues whatsoever. There were driver issues, though...

    Welcome Wopsh!

It shouldn't need another PSU though :p I'd send the Odin back to be honest.

    4 x GTX295?

Do you realize that you'll be disappointed with the results vs price right? ... There was a text with multi GTX298 and more than 2 is not worth it ... even 2 GTX295 have optimization problems...

Well but the trick is to use multi PSU :)
    You'll need about 2k :)

Got to hate stupid power supply designs. And they actually make us pay for PSUs that in real life can't provide the specified power to where it counts :)

IMO , and mainly a plan for my future, is design a secondary PSU ONLY for the 12 Rail volt,
It would be a really big 12 Rail volt for the GPUs since it clearly looks like it is the tendency and leave the primari PSU for the rest of the rigg :) haha
Thats my millon dolar idea! :p Darn! i said it out Loud :S

don't worry, no one will nick it! lol
Dual PSU isn't worth it really. You will be hard pushed to find a rig that can't be run off one PSU, not many need more than 1KW.
