News Quake 4 goes gold

I know Quake is running off of the Doom3 engine but what is F.E.A.R. running on? I don't remember right off hand.

 

if i recall FEAR is using its own engine, ive no idea what its called tho. as for quake 4 the gold thing today came as a surprise. whilst i am looking forward to getting my feet back on strogg (huge q2 fan) im not liking the idea of becoming a strogg to defeat the strogg

im just hoping that its WAY later on in the game when you make the eventual change.

but other then that the weekend on the 18th is going to be mental with both FEAR and QUAKE4 destroying my sleeping pattern.

i am prepared.

 

Hehe...you probably didn't like Unreal Tournament, then? Some times I love to play games like this, because it's fun...quick load, fast action, blow crap up. I don't think I even bothered getting past the first couple single players of UT2k4...after that it was all just "quick game" and drop me in...great stress relief.
