Hi i'm pretty new to spray painting I've sprayed my case, done 3 layers of primer and 3 layers of Plasti-Kote brilliant metallic silver. I was wondering whether i'm supposed to polish the paint before i put the laquer on? or do I polish it after ive put some coats of laquer on? Suggestions welcome :X
sand with around 600 grit sandpaper lightly (wet sand... bucket o water with drop of wash up liquid in it to keep the dust down) wipe it clean let it dry off then apply light coat of clear coat let that dry, wetsand again with like 600 or 1200 grit, wipe clean, let dry apply another thin layer of clear coat, let it dry, wetsand with 2000 grit, wipe clean let dry, apply final clear coat let dry then polish away.... after i polish I'll normally wash it down with clean water and a mild detergent then wax the bugger to get the perfect finish edit: welcome to the forums btw
Thanks for the advice! I always seem to go a bit over the top with my sanding, so i'm gonna try and be gentle with it for once
