Okay so I read how to quiet your pc part 2 and am considering trying to set up my socket cooler to run at a switchable 7v/12v. So off I go to find a sweet looking SPDT switch to start with. The guide says that SPDT has no off position and thats why you use those. Well all the SPDT's I have seen have these positions: off-on-off. Where SPST's have these positions: off-on. I am no electrical genius by any means but if I want a switch to toggle between 12v and 7v it seems the SPST type is the correct type. Is it something to do with the leads in back of the switch? If I can't figure this out I guess I'll have to start studying more (and saving a lot more) for watercooling which seems to be much more effective at reducing noise and heat. Until then any ideas?
