Well actually I've got 2 questions for you guys 1. I am going to be doing a project pretty soonish, the plan is to use a Satin Black paint to do the metal parts of the case, for the front I am going to use vinyl dye( as it is a plastic front ). How similiar will a black vinyl dye be to a satin black spraypaint? Would it be similiar enough for it to look like the same or good enough? Would more than 1 coat change the colour of the dye? 2. Do you guys think it would be better to use all black or do the front a seperate colour, for variation, so I wouldn't have to try get it to match? Thank you!
i would do a few test pieces to see how close they will be, i was thinking about doing the same thing, but dont have enough time to test
All black would look cool. As for the different blacks...i don't see how they could be that different from each other. Another suggestion is green and black make an awesome combo...just my opinion though. Start taking pictures when you begin. I wanna see how this comes out.
I now think that all black would look better than a variation to be honest, especially for what I have in mind for the rest of the case. Donut - I will probably make a Project Log on these forums once I start
