I have decided its time to venture out into the world of water cooling. My xp 2000 is looking a little dated so needs a O/C and i and need some quietness for my late night dls. My current case is small so I have decided to make a square box case out of wood / perspex or out of one of those plastic tidy boxes...prob go for the wood option. Now to my questions. 1. Would making a case out of wood/plastic defeat the purpose of water cooling.... a friend of mine said that wood will make my comp pretty tosty. My argument is that Ill have 2-3 12cm fans running in 7vs at night and 12v during gaming ect...would this be enough to keep it nice and chilled?. 2.Being a WC n00b i have decided to go for a kit. Is the Asetek WaterChill KT-03 Kit good as they say ? or how bout this kit http://www.coolercases.co.uk/details/wc_specialist_bundle.htm look good to you? Cheers
1.) His bases for saing that the wood would make it hotter is? I personally dont see any reason why it would make the case warmer unless your design has poor venting.. 2.) I like the second one alot better but im not sure thats the best price you can come up with....Take a look at some of the vendors in the vendors thread before you buy anything....Compare prices...
